AI engineering

Traditional software is deterministic. Agentic systems are probabilistic.

Nobody can change that. It is not a defect to be engineered away, it is what these systems are, and it is why so many of them stall between a promising demo and anything a business will sign off on.

What can be engineered is knowing. We agree what good looks like before anything is built, score against it after, and hand you the numbers: how often it is right, on which dimensions, and where it is weakest. The uncertainty does not disappear. It stops being unknown, which is the part that made it unsignable.

How engagements start

Paid discovery

A short, scoped piece of work that ends in a plan and an estimate you can act on. Best when the problem is clear and the right approach is not.

Fixed scope

An agreed deliverable at an agreed price. Best when what good looks like can be written down before we start.

Time and materials

For longer engagements where the work evolves. Best when we are part of your team and the roadmap moves with the business.

Talk to an AI engineer

Software development

An AI system is mostly not the AI.

A model is a small part of what has to work. Around it sits the software that feeds it, catches it when it fails, records what it did and puts it in front of a person. Most AI shops cannot build that part, which is why so much of their work never leaves the demonstration.

We build the whole thing. Not vibe-coded: every AI-assisted change is read by an engineer before it ships, because the code has to be maintained by whoever comes next.

The same goes for the interface. It is designed by a person, and tested with real users before it launches. A generated screen can look entirely right and still defeat the first person who tries to finish a task on it. Only a user finds that out.

A delivery team

Three people, and the agents they run

A full-stack developer, a UX designer, a tester, and a fleet of AI agents. Enough to deliver enterprise systems, with humans in control of every part.

Methodology

UX design + code review

AI writes code cheaply. What it cannot do is decide what to build, or judge whether what it wrote is any good. Those two jobs stay with people.

Evidence

An unmanned laundry kiosk

Built for SudsGo. The shop runs on its own, around the clock, taking cash and activating machines with nobody there. Software nobody stands behind has to be right.

AI training

We teach coding with AI, and AI engineering.

PSI AI Academy runs ten weeks and forty hours of project-based training for working developers and engineers, taught by the people who build our own systems. Every session ends with code that runs.

Coding with AI

Past prompt tricks

Prompting and vibe coding as a working practice rather than a party trick, for developers who already ship and want the tools to hold up under real work.

AI engineering

The systems around the model

Vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, fine-tuning and multimodal applications. The skills companies are actually hiring for.

Proof of it

A deployed system, not a certificate

Every cohort ends at Demo Day with each participant showing something they built, deployed and can talk through. Forty hours, project-based throughout.
